At the 26th International Conference of Printing, Design and Graphic Communications (PDC 22) by Blaž Baromić, the lecture “Contextualization of the industrial environment using mixed reality (MR) and IIOT” was held.
Lecturer Tomislav Bronzin presented new technologies with an emphasis on how new technologies such as mixed reality (MR) and Industrial IoT (IIoT) bring changes in the way of doing business, and the contextualization of the industrial environment is one of them. He outlined the current situation with artificial intelligence (UI) that is everywhere around us today and is embedded in, more/less, all the smart devices that surround us. He explained how virtual reality (VR), augmented reality (AR), mixed reality (MR) and extended reality (XR) as part of artificial intelligence (AI) as a set of technologies participate in the initial stages of development for business needs. Special attention was paid to the appearance of 3D technology, and to the fact that business users were attracted by the great potential of applying these technologies in their daily business, so they are currently looking for quality solutions that would give them a competitive advantage on the market.
